As the weather changes, so does our skin. My skin tends to get very dry in the winter months, forcing me to alter my skincare routine. Thankfully, this has lead me to finding some great products that do a good job of hydrating my skin.
I’m sure you’ve heard the hype; Creme de la Mer has gained a lot of popularity. This cream has intensity hydrating, making it a perfect winter moisturizer. It is also ridiculously expensive, making it possibly an unrealistic option for some. For those who can afford it, this product works wonders for the skin by hydrating, regenerating, and fighting dullness.
A more affordable (and great) option is Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturizing Gel. This oil-free formula packs a powerful moisturizing punch. It also contains Hyaluronic Acid which has many healing properties. This moisturizer feels weightless and you wake up the next day with glowing skin. For $18, this is some serious bang for your buck!
And lastly, I must include my holy grail, Coconut Oil. I opt for Trader Joe’s Organic Virgin Coconut Oil. I use this stuff daily. But only in areas where I experience dryness; my neck and cheeks. I even use this as a body moisturizer. I’ve always been a huge advocate for coconut oil and its many uses. I think its a great household item to have! And a wonderful, cheap moisturizer for those winter months!
